Something wrong? Write to a person.

There is no ticket system and no bot. Mail hello@bitwright.app and the person who built this reads it.

Getting in touch

hello@bitwright.app is the only address, and it covers everything: a sprite that came out wrong, a payment that did not arrive, a data request, or a bug. Bitwright is run by one person in the United Kingdom, so replies come within a couple of working days rather than within minutes. If something is broken and costing you credits, say so in the subject line and it goes to the top of the pile.

It helps enormously if you include the sentence you typed and roughly when you typed it. Descriptions are not stored, so without that there is very little to look at.

Payments, invoices and refunds

Payment is taken by Stripe. No card details reach this site at any point, and nobody here can see a card number.

  • Your invoices are on the account page, under Billing, with a PDF for each one. They come from Stripe, so an accountant will take them.
  • Paid but no credits? That should not happen, but if it does, mail us. The payment record is authoritative and credits get added by hand. You will not be charged twice for the same purchase.
  • Credits do not expire and there is no subscription, no monthly reset and no standing charge. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
  • Deleting your account gives up any credits left on it, and they are not refunded. That is said at checkout, on the account page, and again in the box that asks you to confirm.

On refunds

Credits are digital content delivered immediately, and at checkout you tick a box asking for that and giving up the statutory fourteen day right to cancel. Credits you have spent are not refundable.

If something went wrong at our end, or you bought by mistake and have not spent them, write to us and we will put it right.

The usual questions

The sprite ignored half of what I asked for

Known, and honestly described on the how AI is used page. Two-object requests are the common case. Splitting it into one clear subject, then editing parts afterwards, works better than a longer sentence.

The sign-in link did not arrive

Check the spam folder first, then that the address was typed correctly. Links last thirty minutes and each new one cancels the last, so if you asked twice, use the newest mail. Still nothing after that is worth writing to us about, because it means something on our side is failing.

My sprites have disappeared

Sprites live in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing browser data, using a private window, or moving to another device or browser means they are not there. We cannot recover them, which is why exporting the ones you care about is worth doing. Your credits are on your account and are not affected.

My credit count looks wrong

Reload the page. If it still disagrees with what you expect, mail us with a rough time and we will check the ledger, which records every credit added and every one spent.

Your account and your sprites

You own everything you draw, commercially included, with no fee. A credit is welcome but never required. The terms put it properly.

You can delete your account yourself from the account page, and it happens immediately. For a copy of your data, or anything else under the UK GDPR, mail us; the privacy policy lists what is held, which is not much.

Reporting something serious

If you find a way to reach somebody else's account or data, please tell us at hello@bitwright.app before telling anybody else. Report it in good faith and we will not come after you for finding it. The acceptable use policy covers the rest of the rules.
